If it doesn’t show up just go to the dream disscusion forum at www.dreammoods.com and it will be the first question in the forum with the same title question.

Thank you for taking your time to read this. I appreciate it very much and this dream has bothered me all morning. No, disturbed me.

When you are playing video games or watching movies, does your Dad get upset and say you don’t take the violence seriously enough? Does he say, “These games downplay the reality of war, or crime, or life and death”?

Perhaps, with him spending so much time in Iraq, he has really strong feelings about this. BUT, it’s possible he already felt that way.

Sometimes, if he talks like this, it probably hurts your feelings, and you’re thinking, “Dad! I know! I know the difference between reality and a game!” But he’s thinking, “If you really realized, you wouldn’t even want to play that game!”

Maybe I’m totally off here, or maybe this isn’t exactly how it goes, but I’m thinking maybe I might be close, anyway.

I hope your Dad is back from Iraq. It sounds as if your family REALLY needs him a lot!

The wet, soft sand probably represents you and your brother. You are young, your are impressionable. Your father wants you to expose yourself to influences that will mold you into mature, caring adults, and he’s concerned that some of the things you play around with are not going to produce the character he wants to see developed in you.

Pray for wisdom. Honor your Dad! Pray for your brother! Hug your Mom!

Love,
Fairelight
